Today has been a fun day at work. Kurt decided that he wanted a desk (with drawers!) instead of the crappy, small table that he's been using. So we switched some desks around and one thing led to another and then we all started moving our desks around. It's awesome! We finally fixed a lot of the cluster fucks and rats nets of cables and whatnot running everywhere. It's so much nicer! And our desks are in a big horseshoe so we can look at each other and throw things at each other. I'm totally psyched. Plus, instead of working and getting bummed out about stuff, we kinda goofed around while still being productive.

We're also starting to use IRC all the time. That way, we don't have to get up and actually have human interaction. Yay! Plus, it's fun because it's just fun to use bitchx (and I think I may be a little more irc savvy than my coworkers).

So last night, jerkface and I did the most nerdliest thing ever: we ran linux on the dreamcast!!! The newboss gave me a CD-R of a linux-dc iso and said that it worked for him, but he didn't have a dreamcast keyboard, so it was kinda useless. So jerkface and I went out to the venerable and inscrutable FuncoLand and spent a whole bunch of money. He bought a VGA-adapter and a keyboard adapter that lets one use a PS/2 or AT style computer keyboard with the dreamcast and I bought a rumble-pak thing and the game Shenmue. The vga-adapter is really awesome! Games like Soul Calibur and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 look really incredible on a monitor. The rumble-pak I bought is kinda crappy... I dunno if I like it. I shakes a whole hell of a lot when I'm playing Tony Hawk... So far, I'm really pleased with Shenmue; I just need to get familiar with the controls.
