To Blow Your Fucking Mind!
November 19, 2003, 12:31 pmI went to a show on Monday night at the Rudyard Kipling, specifically to see the Merediths (Joe, Jesse, Brian, and Mike). I liked their songs a lot. And it made me miss being in a band. I have been writing songs lately. Well, more like fragments of songs. But I want so badly to be in a band, a group of talented, competent, musicians, playing songs that blow your fucking mind! Like Radiohead or Neutral Milk Hotel. Unfortunately, I think a pre-requisite for mind-blowing is good vocals and good lyrics, neither of which I can do.
I want to play a show and after we're finished, everyone to walk away jaws agape wondering, “Did I just hear that?!” I don't particularly want to tour or to get big or release a bunch of CDs. But I would love finding out that songs I wrote were given on mix tapes/cds.
