Three-Point Shootout: Season 2!
September 13, 2005, 05:42 pmThe second season of three-point shootout at the office has officially come to a close with Colin beating me again. He won 50 games to my 15. In my defense, my average was up (4.something up from 3.something) and many of the games Colin won by only one point. I lost 18 games today (and tied two); strategically, I should've stopped after the first couple since I was obviously off, but that's not the point.
The point has never been about basketball. It's about a mental and spiritual struggle of two men. I'm not playing against Colin. I'm playing against myself. Colin isn't my enemy! He's my comrade.
And in the end, it all boils down to who is a better person. And I think everyone knows that the answer is, "Colin is a better person."
Hahaha! At least I can proudly say that I've never gotten 0/10 (and Colin has!). (C'mon, I've gotta grab onto something!)
