the ups and the downs
October 15, 2002, 10:16 pmUgh... I walk to my car from a CIS420 meeting to find that I've received a parking citation. Damnit. It's only fifteen dollars, but still... how annoying. And what's especially annoying is that I thought after 5pm, you didn't have to pay the parking meter, and I got my ticket at 5:08... I guess I'm mistaken.
What's worse is that I know that I'm going to be at the library all night tomorrow too. Ugh... I'll really be glad when school's over.
Yesterday, I got Vernor Vinge's The Collected Stories of.... It's pretty good so far. This is only the second short story collection that I've ever read (the first being the Phillip K. Dick collection my hermana gave me) and I like it. It's neat to read things that Vinge wrote so long ago (the sixties) and yet still see his interest in the Singularity.
