Something Majestic.
October 06, 2004, 11:42 amJoe asked me to come up with a new song, something huge + orchestral + majestic. I said, "Okay, gimme a minute."
And a little while later, I came up with something I think could be awesome! I won't talk about it too much, but I'm very hopeful and excited about it.
Instead of using my usual DAW software, ardour, I'm using Sonar. I've recorded a few MIDI tracks (which I run through samples using Kontact) and an audio track from the Akai S900 sampler that Brian brought from DTR (it has the best boy's choir sample that I have at my disposal (the mellotron boy's choir is really shrill at the range I need and the boy's choir soundfonts I had sounded inhuman)). Since I didn't know anything about Sonar just yesterday morning, I'm pretty pleased with what I've learned so far.
