Recount/Enumeration.
April 12, 2004, 03:30 pmSince I deduced the CVV2 number on the back of JB's creditcard, I'm the Credit Card Archiologist! Jesse also has a new nickname, DropKick.
Saturday and Sunday, I worked on the new floyd collins song. It's very Grandaddy, with lots of synth + distorted vocals w/ harmony parts + acoustic guitar. It's got a fuckin' wicked synth sound that was originally a bass sound, but I moved it up two octaves and it sounds like a theremin!
While working on it, I learned tons of new stuff in ardour. Tons, I tell you! I also faked drums with the kurzweil and with a lot of distortion and some reverb, they sound pretty awesome! I need to start learning some sequencer software.
I ordered some stuff from Musician's Friend and it should arrive in a day or two. I got a MIDI to USB adapter. My evolution keyboard has one but it's kindof sucky and latent, plus it's just out through the USB interface so I can't use the Korg software to manipulate sounds on microKorg. I'm looking forward to using that. I'm also looking forward to trying the multitude of patches that I got online.
I saw The Passion of The Christ Friday night and my official review is as follows: incredibly derivative of Jesus Christ Superstar. And with songs that aren't nearly as catchy. I dunno what Mel Gibson was listening to, but on my record of Jesus Christ Superstar, Judas had a fuckin' awesome, wailing, rock star vibrato.
