Okay? Go!

Our show last night with OK Go was pretty weird. It started off weird with OK Go being late and taking a long time to soundcheck. We worked with Tasty Face to minimize the time between bands by sharing equipment and them letting me setup all my keyboard stuff (which was really nice of them).

The sound on stage was really weird. I couldn't hear my keyboards coming out of the house PA... it sounded like they were only coming out of the monitor. And Joe's voice was going out because he's been sick. It was pretty awkward and weird up there.

But then after we finished a bunch of people said that we sounded really good. Weird.

I was really jealous of how good OK Go sounded. They have their own sound guy and he was doing simple things like bring up the guitar for solos, but it makes such a huge difference!

They did this awesome lip-syncing, dancing encore! It was hilarious! There were some hott moves!

After that, Brian, Karri, Nickie, and I went to the front of Phoenix Hill for some karaoke. The karaoke DJ guy was this crazy, older guy, who was always talking about "the Ladies": "give it up for the Ladies", "who want's to hear the Ladies", and "do the Ladies want to hear some guys sing?" Crazy.

I did Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run and slaughtered the Righteous Brothers' Unchained Melody. Don't worry, I provided a disclaimer that I was "a little drunk" and apologized in advance to Phil Spector.

Today I have three meetings.

Tomorrow we have our show in Chicago. I've never been there before.
