Making Prominent Use of a Mellotron.
May 11, 2004, 01:25 pmWe got more rough mixes of the new songs today. Oh man, I'm so excited! Last night, I redid my keyboard parts for the Fool and added even more stuff (Mellotron choirs! Suspended cymbal rolls!!) to Song With No Feeling. Phew. Majestic? Perhaps. Over the top? Why not!
I also exported all those tracks onto my external harddrive, as well as Homo Erectus and the Ballad of Dropkick and Suckerpunch. I'll probably get the rest tonight. I'm really pretty amazed at how incredibly easy it was to install the USB harddrive in Linux. I anticipated that it would be a total pain in the ass, but I seriously plugged it in, mounted it, and was good to go!
I've also been copying over all my mp3's onto it. I need to reconcile all the songs that I have on my home computer vs. work computer vs. not yet ripped CDs.
