February 14, 2003, 04:39 pmI don't even have my phone and I've already upgraded the service from the crappy 60 Minutes / Month plan to a fancier one. Ha. I'm super-excited about getting the phone. It ought to be in early next week. And since it has Bluetooth support, I'm going to have to get Bluetooth working in Linux. I've even changed mail clients from mutt to evolution. This phone is shaking things up.
I'm constantly tracking my phone (it's in Memphis, TN now). In addition to finally getting a phone, I'm finally getting a new videocard. I've had my Matrox Millenium G200 and Voodoo^2 since Fall of 1998, so I feel justified in paying 63 bucks for a nvidia geforce 4 mx 440 (or something). If you think I'm lame for getting such a “weak/cheap” card, realize that I only want its svideo/composite TV out support, as well as very basic OpenGL support for running the GL target of xmame/xmess on my TV.
