keeping contact with old friends / enjoy a drink now and then

Last Friday, Kurt walked me out (I really had to get to the bank!) and told me that he had given me a raise. It's not much, but it's something. I'm pretty excited about it. He also said that once business picks up, he wants to give me another.

I also wasted a considerable amount of time on Friday doing this (eventually, I'll get to this,); it's so cute. I'm keeping it at work, so I don't get lonely. I couldn't wait to go home so I could get my gluestick. I've been searching online for the paper cut-outs of the other SEGA consoles (Master System, Genesis, Saturn), but haven't found the others. :( Apparently, this company called Hitmaker (they also make Crazy Taxi), made this game called Segagaga where SEGA, failing in the videogame software industry, seeks the help of kids to run the company; I've considered importing just to see what it's like, but, since I don't speak japanese, I would be lost. :( But anyway, to promote the game, they made the paper-cutouts for many of the popular SEGA consoles.

I got a B in Management 301, which is what I expected. Yes, this class is easy. Yes, there were idiots and morons in my class that probably got A's. No, I'm not worried. There; I said it.

This morning was weird. I got up pretty early and took my time getting ready. I sat at my computer and went through my daily sites and online comics (I have to maintain my fanboy level). Then I stopped at the gas station that I've been stopping at and got a Gatorade (because I was feeling dehydrated) and two donuts. I've been doing this pretty regularly (getting gatorade and donuts before work), but today the donuts looked kinda old. I didn't think there would be anything wrong with them, but I felt horrible all morning! Even while we were driving out to India Hut to eat, I felt like puking. Luckily, when we arrived, I felt okay and actually had somewhat of an appetite.

It's Monday of course, and you know what that means! I get to do goofy reports! It's not too bad. In fact, it's really easy. I go down the page and mark off the information with my pencil that says Superkid on the side. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to use StarOffice (which is really bloated and slow on my machine).

For some reason, I was just thinking about December '98 in Lexington. It was really cold, but for some reason my friends and I continued to go to the Tally Ho for milkshakes. No wonder I gained 15 pounds. :)

My time spent at UK was all very strange, especially Spring '99. I had an unusually large number of friends. I didn't spend any energy on my studies (with the exception of my Computer Science classes). I'd sleep until noon and then go sit on the porch of Patterson Hall playing guitar all day and hanging out. Freakin' weird.
