December 06, 2002, 04:22 pmI'm sure no one would be surprised to hear that several people at work have the little 2.25" RC cars. They're pretty awesome. We've been playing with them on the big table in the conference room... setting up bottled water caps and pushing them off with the cars. Haha.
JB found some japanese site that has these sets of mini-RC tanks with little lazers on them that you can shoot and disable other tanks with. You can't remotely aim the turret, so you have to aim with the body of the tank, just like atari combat.
Every Christmas, my dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, I always wanted Remote Controlled cars, but in my words: 'mote control cars! I can remember being a little disappointed that they were called “remote controlled”, when it would be more appriate to call them “radio controlled.”
Thursday was supposed to be a really horrible day: fifth prototype presentation in 420 and a portfolio review for 415. But school was cancelled due to snow and ice and the presentation pushed back to the 10th. I had my portfolio reviewed and, while my portfolio wasn't that great, it was sufficient to get a Pass and that's all I care about.
Thankfully, I've been able to get most everything working for our prototype demonstration... I'll be glad when the class is over 'cause I'm rapidly losing my interest....
