Joe Does a Killer Sonny Chiba Impersonation.
April 27, 2004, 05:02 pmI was unnerved by the dream I had the other night, to the extent that I feel I have to share it with you now (haha).
In the dream, Jesse and I were going to see this movie that was very controversial. Everyone was talking about it and you either believed it to be the work of genius or total crap. We had to go to this particular theater to see it. After everyone sat down, the lights dimmed a little, and a solitary employee of the theater (who looked like Sonny Chiba (Joe can do a killer Sonny Chiba impersonation!)) was handing out styrofoam boxes to everyone.
Inside the boxes were either a frozen goose or chicken or turkey or some sort of poultry; I couldn't tell, as it was wrapped in white plastic. The intention was that you were supposed to place it on the floor and prop your feet on it. That was part of the "movie experience."
The movie started, I think, but then everything started changing. The theater became a church. And these pushy people were trying to get me and Jesse to accept Jesus as our personal savior or something! And they were chasing us!
I woke up very anxious and freaked out! What the Hell does this mean?! The frozen turkies?! What the fuck?!
