it's the coolest thing since teflon
May 22, 2002, 03:53 pmSo the audio/video club played the "punk rock prom" show last Saturday. We "mormon'ed it out" with the blackpants-whiteshirt-blacktie outfits. We played pretty well; the only mistakes we made were easily recovered and probably not noticed by anyone. The crowd reacted really well and lots of people watched us.
After we played, a bunch of people talked to us and said we were really good and asked for recordings and merch and the whatnot. Another kid asked us to play his band's CD release show (which we're playing in August). And the other local bands that played, The Novas and The Lynnwoods, asked us to play more shows with them. All very exciting stuff.
So now we're all psyched about the band and redesigning the website and getting buttons and stickers and whatnot. It's all very fun.
The main thing we need to do is to get everyone clear on the name: so many people think we're the audio/visual club and there's even a flier with our name wrong. Phew.
We have a show tomorrow at the Rudyard Kipling... I'm kinda nervous about it because the last time we played there, we sucked pretty bad and the sound was really horrible and none of our friends can come ('cause it's 21+). I think it'll be okay, but I'm not expecting to rock it.
