July 19, 2004, 01:03 pmMy power is back on! It came on yesterday while I read Philip Pullman's the Golden Compass. I intend to loan my His Dark Materials books to Jessica and I was just looking over it, when I started reading and could not stop. I stayed up until 2:30am finishing it. Haha. It's so weird how I'll get hooked on something and then not be able to stop until it is exhausted.
Also, my Phil Spector's Wall of Sound record sets came in today! It's two sets, six seven-inches each, on translucent yellow or red vinyl. And all my favorite Spector-produced girl-pop songs are represented! I'm psyched!
I saw Anchorman on Saturday with Jessica and Matt. And by “saw,” I mean: “left Joe's house five minutes before the movie was supposed to start (damn your computer's drastically incorrect clock), drove to the wrong theater, then raced across town to the correct theater to see the last half of the movie.”
When I realized what had happened I did indeed cry out, “I am fortune's fool!” But then I realized I was being a little overdramatic and just drove to the correct theater. It was worth it.
