How to Knock a Man Out
April 16, 2003, 11:04 amSo I've been playing Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for GCN since Friday. It's pretty fun and I like it, but I expected it to be more like Metal Gear Solid. I prefer the fun, non-serious, action-oriented nature of MGS, as opposed to the trying-to-be-realistic style of Splinter Cell. From what I hear, all the Tom Clancy games are like that.
I was telling my friend Troy about Splinter Cell and he asked me if it was worth buying or renting. I told him that after I'm finished with it, he's welcome to borrow it (and also Star Fox Adventures and Resident Evil). He said he doesn't have any GCN games that I don't have, but he's going to let me borrow his PS2. So it's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Maximo time for me!
I was trying to think of a funny, clever title for this entry, when I remembered that when my sister was in the seventh grade she was in a middle-school play with one of our neighbors, Ashley D., who had a line where she was reading from a book titled How to Knock a Man Out. (and if the title still doesn't make sense, “knocking people out” is a key part of sneaking games like Splinter Cell and MGS.)
