Forget Being Clever.
July 01, 2004, 01:40 pmI've come to post something about 10 times the last week. And every time I start typing something, it just seems obvious or lame: I'm sure you all want to know that I saw Spiderman 2 last night, or that I've been listening to a lot of my parents' old records.
I guess I have nothing interesting to say right now.
We are playing an acoustic set tomorrow night at Woody's. I'm really excited about playing the new songs. I've wanted to cover Mazzy Star's Fade Into You since I started playing guitar, and playing the slide part is so incredibly fun!!
I've been trying to name the unnamed song, but I'm trying to compensate for the song being about my social awkwardness by coming up with a title that's clever.
Yesterday, I left work early and went down to the lab where we re-recorded the acoustic guitar parts in Homo Erectus and recorded the piano part with their Yamaha grand. Holy shit, I'm so glad they finally tuned their piano! It sounds so awesome! After getting used to the feel of my keyboard controllers and Joe's beat piano, the stiff action on the Yamaha was a bit weird. I love the way it sounds though... it'll fucking sustain for days!
I guess I had more to say than I thought.
