featuring winners of The Piebald Beltbuckle Contest
October 30, 2001, 06:00 pmFor some reason, Piebald (rock'n'roller extraordinaires), had a beltbuckle contest on their website. And bassist/good friend Jesse informs me today that he won (3rd place). Damn, that's funny. And, no, he doesn't really look like that!
Also funny: slashdot interviewed Wil Wheaton. He actually gave lots of really entertaining responses. Also, he lists music that he listens to, inlucding Radiohead, The Pixies, The Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, and The Get Up Kids. It's weird seeing that kinda stuff on slashdot... But I guess operating system elitists easily turn into music elitists... Blah.
I have determineed that I no longer have angst. I think this is a good thing, but sometimes I wish I were still an asshole, angst-y teenager so that I could listen to jerk musicians complain. Heh.
Ack! I can't believe I keep forgetting to mention this: we no longer have cable tv. While I am greatly saddened that I will be missing out on Samurai Jack, I can't help but feel relief from the bondage I once had to el televisor.
But I'm still hooked on videogames! And today my bleemcast! discs for Metal Gear Solid and Tekken 3 arrived... Phew...
Also, jerkface has been playing a new force character (FOrmarl named Al.Yankovic) and wanted to get some disks with my lvl 95 RAmar in ultimate. So while he's playing my character, a bunch of guys give him some cool stuff, including a v2 rare armor called Chu Chu Fever where the person wearing the armor will "fountain" Chu Chu's about every 30 seconds. It's freakin' hilarious.
