Faraday vs. Heaviside.

I was reading about Michael Faraday today when I came across these two quotes:

Nothing is too wonderful to be true.

The important thing is to know how to take all things quietly.

While I find transformers to be more romantic than capacitors (the unit of measurement for capacitors is the Farad), I like him a lot.

I also really like Oliver Heaviside who is responsible for coining the words conductance, permiability, inductance, and impedance. Also, he was a nut and painted his fingernails pink and replaced his furniture with granite blocks.
