Customer Service is Creepy?
June 02, 2005, 01:53 pmThe past few gear purchases I've bought have been at Sweetwater instead of Musician's Friend. Sweetwater is a little weirder because they actually call you after you place an order. The first order I placed with Sweetwater, I bought another Evolution MIDI controller and a keyboard flight case for it and this guy called to tell me about how they were shipping it and if I had any questions.
Just now, I bought another flight case (for my AKAI MX-73 MIDI controller), some XLR/RCA/TRS connectors, and some Canare bulk multi-conductor cable. Less than five minutes after I submitted the order, I got called by my "sales engineer", Jeff. Weird.
