Marmalade Maggie.
May 21, 2004, 11:15 amOh shit. Joe, Jesse, and Jessica “the Muse” came over last night. I got Joe to do a bunch of vocal takes on Marmalade Maggie. At first I didn't want to do any more work on it, but then I started getting into it and ended up recording piano + bass + drums with the Kurzweil, tamborine, a couple electric guitars, and a bunch of backup vocals. Arrangement-wise, it's turned out really awesome. Sound-wise... the drums and guitar sound really, really bad! Haha. But you can get the idea of what I was going for. I can't wait to start working on all these new songs!
I'm not sure yet if the Mellotron flute part that is incredibly Strawberry Fields Forever derivitive is too much or just right.
