can't wait to slow down
October 28, 2002, 04:34 pmLast week, I showed jerkface phoenix and he's a convert. He said pages rendered a lot faster and looked much better than the old Netscape he was using. Awesome.
I've gotta group meeting at 5:30 and I'm supposed to have written a narrative describing our import process (which I just “finished” -- it doesn't really “work” right, but it looks like it does). This class is just too fast paced for my taste.
The bottom line is that I've just got too much stuff going on this week:
- meeting tonight
- presentation tomorrow or Thursday
- mock interview Wednesday morning
- Brandston show Wednesday night
- Portfolio Review with my faculty advisor on Thursday
- class Thursday night (plus a weekly Progress Report and Peer Evaluation)
Ugh... I can't wait to slow down.
Here are a random collection of bookmarklets:
Bookmarklets
Recently, I've been updating my collection of bookmarklets; I thought I'd share.
- Resize 800x600
- Self-explainatory: resizes your browser window to 800x600. Very useful for checking layouts.
- Resize 640x480
- Same as above, but resizes to 640x480.
- 216 Standard Colors
- Displays the 216 Standard Web Colors and their RGB values in Hex..
- PDAize
- I found this bookmarklet today on glazblog; essentially, it recreates Opera's new “Small Screen Rendering” feature. Pretty fancy. More detail.
- DeCSS
- Disables all CSS documents for a given webpage. Not to be confused with the DeCSS project disabling the DVD CSS
