are you down with the sound from the devil town?

Our show at the Historic Southgate House was, to use the parlance of our time, fucking awesome. The soundguy was so incredibly nice and we sounded so incredible thanks to him... phew. Having mic'ed drums and everything was awesome...

We sold all 18 demos we brought with us and lot so people said really positive things. But getting home at 4am after driving freakin' all day.... I'm glad this isn't something we do all the time.

We have another show on the 20th and then we're not going to play any shows until the Ultimate Fake Book show in November (which is still uncertain if we'll get to play, but I really hope we get to, damnit!). We're planning on working on new material... hopefully getting two songs finished really well.

Ack... lots to do.

Lately, I've been listening to The Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots all the time... I listen to it at work all day. I listen to it at home. After I make a tape of it, I'll listen to it in my car. One day I'll write songs with real melodies. I'm serious. That's not an idle threat.
