am i a smarty-pants today?

I took my friend and former coworker Sandman (his real name, even!) out to eat at Qdoba today. And in return, he gave me some very valuable advice for my CIS320 class project and also took me on a tour of the University's bitchin' datacenter (maybe "bitchin'" isn't really the appropriate term... perhaps "kicks your fucking ass"?). It was lots of fun. There's something satisfying in actually seeing the the physical embodiment of a machine that you've been working on for the past four years.

Maybe it's like the feeling of meeting a longtime penpal.

Just before I left, he said that before I graduate I should come by and check out what they're doing, and essentially said that I wouldn't have a problem getting a job there, if I wanted one. Fuckin' A. It's nice to feel wanted.

So now I'm in the CIS Computer Lab and I'm working on my CIS320 project. And various people and other CIS320 groups are talking (loudly, I might add) and they're all wrong (or they're not as right as I am. heh).

Geez, lately I've been feeling smart.
