A Pretty Good Story

I don't think I've previously mentioned this (since I haven't yet imported my old diary entries, I can't search to confirm), but I think this is a pretty good story worth remembering:

When I was a Senior in high school, my Sociology class took a field trip to UofL. We were supposed to use their library to research something (the trip was doomed from the start: my class was filled with delinquents). Most of the class just ran around the library, doing nothing (I think I hung out with my friend Amy, sitting on these Stanley-Kubrick-looking, red couches and looking out of windows).

So after our allotted time, we piled back in the bus. It was raining pretty steadily as we were driving down I-65 South, to go to this crappy McDonalds that every Louisville fieldtrip visits. Suddenly, two cars in front of us smashed into each other, trying to merge into the same lane. After the initial crash, they parted and drifted to the outer lanes. Our bus driver cut the wheel causing the bus to roll on only two wheels and split through the middle of the crash, where there cars had been.

When the bus went on two wheels, everyone was silent, holding their breath. A few seconds after the wheels came crashing back down, nearly everyone started screaming! It was crazy.

When we got to the McDonalds, safe and sound, everyone congratulated the bus driver. It was pretty insane.
